About Meg & Loudoun County Real Estate:

Back in 1993, we moved here from Pennsylvania, thinking we'd stay for a year or two -- now it's been well over twenty-five! In the past, I was a broadcast advertising rep (Philly market) and at-home mom, until 2000, when I jumped into the real estate business. I've built a successful track record of many happy buyers & sellers and am in the RE/MAX Hall of Fame. Even with all the ups & downs, I've loved this profession ever since!

I raised two wonderful children in Loudoun County Public Schools (; one is a VA Tech graduate, and the other graduated from UVA. I've come to know Northern Virginia well and truly enjoy calling Loudoun County "home." Northern Virginia, and Loudoun County, in particular, have grown dramatically over the past few decades. The market fluctuates as the economy does, but because of our proximity to the federal government and contractors, as well as the concentration of tech businesses, our market is a bit more stable than some others in the nation. Feel free to call me for local market updates!

Let me assure you: Even as it grows, Loudoun County continues to be a wonderful, charming place to live! Where else can you live less than an hour from concerts at the Kennedy Center, the Capitol Center, Smithsonian Museums, AND wonderful restaurants, vineyards, breweries, AND the Appalachian Trail? ...and don't forget the incredibly easy access to Dulles Airport!

One of Loudoun's strengths is that we have a broad-based economy. We are not just a federal government dependant suburb. Did you know?

**** Over 70% of the world's Internet traffic flows through Loudoun County daily. (
**** The 45+ mile-long Washington & Old Dominion Trail runs through Loudoun & Fairfax Counties. It is great for jogging, walking the dogs, or even an all-day bike trek. ( )
**** Loudoun County has developed into a home to award-winning vineyards and breweries, with a reputation that is growing every year. ( )
**** Serious shoppers love Loudoun! Check out the Leesburg Corner Premium Outlets. The antique shops in Leesburg, Purcellville & Middleburg are fantastic too! You won't want to miss my personal favorite: the Waterford Fair in October, an outdoor juried crafts fair in historic Waterford ( )
**** History buff? Gardener? Perhaps you would prefer to stroll the grounds of Oatlands Historic House & Gardens, a National Trust for Historic Preservation property, or tour Morven Park or Dodona Manor in Leesburg. The farm and garden tours each year are always fascinating and enjoyable.
**** Country Fairs are still going strong in Loudoun County. The Leesburg Flower & Garden Festival in April (another one of my personal favorites); the Bluemont Fair in September; Octoberfest in Lovettsville -- these are just a few of the events to enjoy throughout the year.

Loudoun County and Leesburg, the county seat, are frequently included in "best of" lists. Here's just one:

There is so much to enjoy in Loudoun. Come see for yourself! I'd be happy to show you around. There are many reasons to enjoy living here, but remember, the market is still quite fluid and challenging, so let me help you navigate your way through wonderful resales and new construction.

I take my profession seriously; and although I do have my bachelor's degree (U. Penn), I've been a licensed Salesperson in Virginia since 2000, but I am also a licensed Broker. I also serve as a Director with the Dulles Association of Realtors. I am constantly upgrading my professional education in order to provide you with the most informed and up-to-date real estate support.

Please remember: whether you or your friends are interested in buying or selling, MOVE WITH MEG! Buying and selling your home can be intimidating and stressful. Let me help you make this a positive experience for you -- both for your family and your finances!

What Clients Are Saying

If you want an agent who is truly going to represent your best interests in a real estate deal, I highly recommend you go with Meg Burke as your realtor. I've worked with different realtors in the past but never felt like my interests were truly at heart. For our recent sale, my wife and I were referred to Meg by a friend, and we are eternally grateful to have found her. We needed to sell our home in a timely manner during the most difficult time of year, and she got it done for us in the time we needed and with the sales terms we needed as well. Meg is extremely knowledgeable, one of the kindest people you'll ever meet, and at the same time is firm when she needs to be - the perfect combination. There is no one you would rather have representing you in a real estate deal - she knows exactly what to do in every bargaining situation. Our sale was not easy by any stretch. Meg went above and beyond for us to get it sold.

Meg is a terrific resource for both selling and purchasing a home! She's very attentive, easily accessible and responsive. We've used Meg's services to purchase two consecutive homes and sell one, all in the Leesburg area. Meg has a thorough knowledge of the neighborhoods, schools and helping you establish what you need in not just a house but in your future home. Meg is a great resource and has become a wonderful friend through her attentiveness and thoroughness. We highly recommend her!

Meg was absolutely incredible in helping my wife and I purchase our first home! Her knowledge of the area, the business and the process was essential to our positive experience. She was fantastic in advising us on how/when to bid. Most importantly, Meg was always patient and accessible. She spoke  with us almost daily and had the innate ability to answer all of our questions in a manner which reassured any and all of the fears/concerns we went through as first time buyers. Any buyer would be lucky to have Meg by their side! She is the best!

K & A J. -- Ashburn Buyers

Meg was excellent! She was recommended to us by a friend and exceeded expectations every step of the way. She was very responsive and a pleasure to work with. We were first time home buyers and within three months of meeting with Meg we moved into our new house. Meg was very welcoming and we trusted her completely. We give the highest recommendation possible.

Based upon our personal experience, we are pleased to recommend the work of our Realtor, Meg Burke. Her personal investment of time and effort in ensuring our satisfaction was refreshing and greatly appreciated. The professional energy and determination she brought to our situation went above and beyond the level of service we received from Realtors we had worked with in the past... Meg was available to us almost literally around-the-clock. She never remotely seemed bothered by our constant questions and calls... She made it all work... shepherding us smoothly through the process.

We wouldn't think of using any other Realtor in the future. We're certain Meg will do a great job for you too!

Meg helped me purchase and sell two homes in Loudoun County.

She went the extra mile providing quick sale suggestions and loaning me items to decorate my homes for best showing.

Meg is a fantastic Realtor, very flexible and accommodating with her time, and a pleasure to work with.

Her know-how and professionalism definitely helped sell my homes in a very short time.

I will use Meg as my Realtor anytime I purchase a home.

D.F. -- Leesburg & Lovettsville Seller & Buyer

Meg recently helped my family buy our house in Loudoun County. She was very knowledgeable in the area. After meeting with us, she knew exactly what we were looking for, and we ended up finding our house on the second day of looking. She was available any time we needed her and was always very quick to respond to any of our questions. Meg treated us as if she had known us for years, which made what could have been a stressful event, an exciting one for us. We absolutely love our house and feel we got a great deal on it. She was able to negotiate with the seller's agent to get the terms that we needed. I would recommend Meg to anyone I know!

J. C. -- Leesburg

I have had the pleasure of working with Meg on two occasions, most recently to purchase a townhome in Leesburg. Meg is knowledgeable, hard-working, kind, and dedicated. She has been practicing real estate in Loudoun for many years so she is well-connected. When it comes to negotiating she is kind, yet tough! She helped negotiate the replacement of a large window that I wouldn't have thought of asking for if she hadn't recommended it. I highly recommend working with Meg!

D.O. -- Leesburg

Meg was fantastic to work with. She listed and sold my mother's farm - the house being very old and needing extensive work - in a week! And that was two weeks before Christmas! I was sure the property was going to languish on the market until spring. But she gave good advice on what needed to be done to make it appealing. Meg is easy to work with. She's very upfront, direct and straight forward. I think she dealt very honestly with me. Her attitude is very positive. I will use her again when I go to sell my property.
